New Spinal Cord Injury Model Systems (SCIMS) Multi-Site Collaborative Research Project Funding Opportunity from NIDILRR

The National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) at ACL has opened a new funding opportunity under the Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects (DRRP) Program for the Spinal Cord Injury Model Systems (SCIMS) Multi-Site Collaborative Research Project.


Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects Program

The purpose of the DRRP program is to plan and conduct research, demonstration projects, training, and related activities (including international activities) to develop methods, procedures, and rehabilitation technology that maximize the full inclusion and integration into society, employment, independent living, family support, and economic and social self-sufficiency of individuals with disabilities. 

Spinal Cord Injury Model Systems (SCIMS) Multi-Site Collaborative Research Project: The Spinal Cord Injury Model System (SCIMS) Centers provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary services to people with spinal cord injury as a prerequisite for conducting research that contributes to the development of and access to evidence-based rehabilitation with the ultimate goal of improving the health and function, community living and participation, and employment outcomes of people with spinal cord injury. The purpose of this SCIMS multi-site collaborative research project is to utilize the collaborative capacity of the SCIMS Centers to conduct high quality multi-site research toward improving outcomes of people with SCI.
