Children in the foster care system are regularly involved with more than one human service agency, which can lead to inefficient service coordination between entities and ultimately result in restrictive out-of-home placements. The wraparound approach seeks to holistically support children involved in mental health and child welfare systems in their communities through person-centered and family-driven approaches. In this webinar, panelists will provide an overview of the wraparound approach, discuss the importance of collaboration between agencies, and highlight person-centered approaches to developing the plan of care.

Presenters:

  • Toni Donnelly, National Trainer and Coach for Peer Parent Support and Wraparound, Innovations Institute, University of Connecticut
  • Kimberly Estep, Faculty and Director for Systems Design and Implementation Strategies, Innovations Institute, University of Connecticut; Director, National Wraparound Implementation Center
