Medicare Fraud Prevention Week

June 5, 2023

Every June, ACL and its Senior Medicare Patrol Resource Center lead the nation's Medicare Fraud Prevention Week (MFPW) observance. Established in 2022, this week focuses on raising awareness of actions everyone can take to help prevent Medicare fraud.

Medicare loses an estimated $60 billion each year due to fraud, errors, and abuse. Every day, issues related to these problems affect people across the country, often costing them time, money, and peace of mind. That’s why spreading the word about simple ways for beneficiaries, caregivers, and others to protect themselves and their loved ones is so important.

We’re proud to host this week and hope you’ll join us — this week and year-round — in promoting the importance of preventing, detecting, and reporting fraud. Visit our webpage to learn more about Senior Medicare Patrol, get ready-to-use social media graphics, and find tools to share with your networks.
