On Tuesday, September 1, 2015, the National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center held a webinar on creating communities that are safe and respectful, provide support, and work toward quality of life for people living with dementia and their families. On Thursday, July 30, 2015, the National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center held a webinar about the prevalence and characteristics of people with dementia who live alone. Topics included the signs of self-neglect, intervention strategies, and the experiences of people with dementia who live alone. The Administration on Aging, part of the Administration for Community Living, is pleased to announce the theme for Older American’s Month 2017. The theme, Age Out Loud, is intended to give aging a new voice—one that reflects what today’s older adults have to say about aging.
